So tonights' conversation went something like, 'you have business cards, what for?' so I explained to my family that I meet lots of people and if they want to know how to contact me it is easy to get a card out and hand it to them.
About my cards, the first set I got (check out www.vistaprint.com) as I prayed about the card I saw a valley and trees and the scripture verse, Cast your burdens on the Lord and He will sustain you. Psalm 55:22 came to mind, so I found a card with trees and hills, blues and greens and it worked.
My new card, just got them today, purple, the color of royalty. The verse You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, all whose thoughts are fixed on You! Isaiah 26:3.
God told us He was doing a new thing when we started the process of buying a house, He told me my burdens had been cast on Him and He was doing a new thing. The new thing is peace, it is so quite here, we have had to get use to the peace. Rich and I can walk around the block after the children go to bed, couldn't do that inthe old neighborhood.
The perfect peace doesn't just happen it goes hand in hand with trust and thoughts. Where is my trust, who do I think about. When my mind is stayed on Jesus, it is easy to trust and think about Him, but what about when things get so busy? The Esther bible study has helped so much in that, keeping me in the word several days a week. This has been such a rich study and I've been so blessed to spend time weekly with these wonderful woman, learning and sharing .
Not even sure where this post is going just sharing some things on my heart.
Have a blessed day

Esther Bible Study
Working on week two of the Bible Study: Esther, It's Tough Being Woman by Beth Moore.
I feel like I've settled in, I'm home. Opening scripture, studying, surrounded by my Greek and Hebrew Bibles, Concordances, Vines Dictionary, Commentaries. Reading the Word, to explore, deepen my knowledge base or just to find out what exciting tidbit God wants to show me today.
This feeling of peace and contentment come from inside, where my spirit is saying, I am satisfied, I am fed.
I'm thankful for this time of being in the Word. I've felt in the last few months that reading the Word had become rote, just an exercise in obedience.
But, between working on "Life God's Way" with the children and the Esther study, I'm excited for the time in the day when I can sit down, take a deep breath, give the time to the Lord and His Word. Read and ponder, reread and think about, let it soak in. Having the scripture on CD and listening to the passage is also so helpful. I can sit back and listen, read along, and just feel the passages of scripture opening up saying I've been here all along, waiting.
When the Lord says, It is good, taste and see, to me that's, saying use all of your senses to get an understanding of what I'm teaching you today.
Father, help me to stay willing to learn. Thank You that your Word is new every morning, that what I read yesterday applies to yesterday, and what I will learn today, is for today.

Grace On Me
Yes, a name change. Have thought about this for a while. If not for the grace of God, His tender mercy and love toward me, well I'm not sure what path my life would have taken.
Many scriptures refer to Gods grace, however this scripture touches something inside me, says and affirms, He has picked me, He does love me, He cares for me far more than a sparrow.
Ephesians 4:7
But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ's gift.
Christ cared enough about me to give me this gift, and it is a gift I thank Him for every day.
To measure is to count, I count, that well I cannot fully express hoe that makes me feel, I'm not a nothing or a number, I count to Jesus, I'm important to Him.
The gift of grace and feeling loved and whole in His eyes - overwhelms me most days.
Today I'm thankful that not only am I loved by God, but I have family and friends that cherish me, trust me and love me.
I truly can say I am blessed beyond measure.
My daily prayer is that I would hear His voice, throw out my plans and follow His. There are days when it seems like to much work to obey. And when I rebel, nothing goes right all day long, so it is easier to submit to His will and do what He has planned for me.
That's about all for now.
Need to write about Labor Day weekend at Little Sioux and post pictures.

Its August and finally hot in The Midwest. We are a homeschooling family. I have a wonderful husband and three beautiful children.
The children are not real happy, as school has started in this house. We will start school slowly, like every year, journal entries, and math 4 days a week. Than we will play a game, Quiddler, Dutch Blitz, speed Scrabble, Backgammon, or Chess.
By starting school now, when all the outside activities start we are well on our way to a schedule, outside activities include, Volleyball, dance, gym, piano, art, and classes at the learning center.
The learning center is a homeschool co-op enviroment where lots of things are taught.
Than we have life skills, these happen every day, laundry, sweep floors, vacuum, prepare meals. We try to share these chores.
By the first of September each child will have a day of the week where they are responsible for meal preparation and cleanup. This will include picking the menu, checking both pantries, freezers and cupboards to see if we have the right ingredients, adding to the weekly grocery list the things we need. They also will need to check coupons and grocery ads.
We just moved into a new house in May, still have the old house to empty and get ready to sell.
we are working a little every day or so at this task. Sorting through things is a difficult task, 20 + years of our stuff needs to be sorted and taken care of.
Well that is about it for now.
